Mayor Ras J. Baraka announced today that the City of Newark will reopen City Hall and other municipal buildings to residents and visitors to conduct business on Monday, June 15. Buildings and offices will be open from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily (normal business hours).
All visitors to City Hall and other buildings MUST sign in and receive temperature screenings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Residents are encouraged to use on-line services to pay water, tax, and other bills, through the City’s website at www.newarknj.gov.
City Hall and other agencies will be under minimal staffing, and both employees and visitors to municipal buildings will practice social distancing. Visitors are asked to show patience because of this.
