• BE STILL MONDAYS RESUMES OCT 12

 Due to the increase in our positivity rate, beginning next Monday, Be Still Mondays will resume. Businesses must close at 7PM – except for supermarkets, pharmacies, gas stations, and drive thrus.

 Be Still Mondays and Sit Still Sundays have shown to be effective in the past to help us control the rise in COVID-19 cases—so with the uptick in numbers, we are using scientific data to help inform our decisions, while we work to keep Newark safe.

• LARGE GATHERINGS HOTLINE (973) 969-1122

 We need you to call and report large gatherings, groups not practicing social distancing, and crowds not wearing masks. We have to do everything we can to get and keep our numbers down.

• COMPLETE THE CENSUS

 The 2020 Census is being extended once again to October 31 and our self-response rate is 50.3% (goal is 52%... it was at 51% in 2010).

 So the enumerators will continue to come around to get households counted, and our Census pop-up sites and outreach will continue as well.
