• MASK UP

 Mayor Baraka is going to sign an executive order requiring that people where a mask. If you are with three (3) or more people a mask must be worn.

 He knows that it’s hot outside but you have to wear your mask when in public.

 You should also wear one when you have visitors or when you are visiting other people.

 We have to look at this like it’s a new part of culture – because it is.

 It’s important for us to wear our masks.

• OUTDOOR DINING UNTIL 11PM – INDOOR DINING IS POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

 With indoor dining being postponed, effective today outdoor dining hours are extended to 11PM.

 This will hopefully help until indoor dining begins.

 Both carry risks and people should wear masks at both, but most businesses require customers to be indoors, whereas protests take place outside.

 Article explains more fundamental differences but what’s important is to be wary if the spike in cases is blamed on protests more than reopening.

 If you traveled or plan to travel to any of the following states, then you need to quarantine for 14 days when you return back to Newark.

 Reminder that if you know someone who needs food or if you are in need, please leave your information in the comments. We deliver food on Wednesdays and we also have more ShopRite gift cards.

• NEWARK PUBLIC SCHOOLS BREAKFAST AND LUNCH PROGRAM

o NPS Breakfast and Lunch Program is ongoing and food is distributed on Mondays and Thursdays at all of the Food Service Program sites from 9:30-11:30AM.

o You should accompany your child to pick up meals at any one of the following sites closest to you.

 Bulk pick-up begins tomorrow. Limit: 10 items.

 Community Clean-Ups will resume next weekend – July 11 (Central Ward) and July 18 (North Ward)

• REMINDER: Census and Register to Vote  

o Please complete the Census. As of today, we are only 44% counted.
