• NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC COVID-19 UPDATES

Mayor Baraka shared that https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/coronavirus-coverage/ is a good source for COVID-19 information. It’s the same magazine that published an article about the 1918 Spanish Flu. 

• INFECTION RATE IS STEADY

 As of Sunday, June 27, our infection rate remains at 5%.

 Continue to wear your masks, practice social distancing, and all that you can do to keep us going in the right direction.

• PER GOV. MURPHY’S ANNOUNCEMENT, INDOOR DINING IS POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

 Again, indoor dining will not be allowed until further notice.

 We were hoping for this week, but it would open us up to risks as other states show.

 So continue with outdoor dining, takeout or delivery until it is safe to go indoors.

 We currently have a tick upwards. All of the reopening dates are contingent upon the numbers/data.

• FOOD RELIEF PROGRAM

 To date, we have served 671,894 meals and we will be able to continue until September 1st.

 If you or someone you know needs food, please leave your information in the comments. The next food delivery will be this Wednesday.

• REMINDER: POP-UP COVID-19 TESTING AND CENSUS SITES FROM 3:30-8PM

 Today our pop-up COVID-19 Testing and Census Site at Mt. Prospect Park is open until 8PM (2nd Avenue / Mt. Prospect Pl.)
