• NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC COVID-19 UPDATES
Mayor Baraka shared that https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/coronavirus-coverage/ is a good source for COVID-19 information. It’s the same magazine that published an article about the 1918 Spanish Flu.
• INFECTION RATE IS STEADY
As of Sunday, June 27, our infection rate remains at 5%.
Continue to wear your masks, practice social distancing, and all that you can do to keep us going in the right direction.
• PER GOV. MURPHY’S ANNOUNCEMENT, INDOOR DINING IS POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Again, indoor dining will not be allowed until further notice.
We were hoping for this week, but it would open us up to risks as other states show.
So continue with outdoor dining, takeout or delivery until it is safe to go indoors.
We currently have a tick upwards. All of the reopening dates are contingent upon the numbers/data.
• FOOD RELIEF PROGRAM
To date, we have served 671,894 meals and we will be able to continue until September 1st.
If you or someone you know needs food, please leave your information in the comments. The next food delivery will be this Wednesday.
