• COMBATING VIOLENCE

 Newark Police recovered 11 handguns in recent gun arrests.

 The 11 firearms included an AK-47 semi-automatic weapon; there were 16 gun arrests and 3 shooting arrests since the weekend.

• Here are our numbers in Newark and New Jersey—

o Newark:

 4 more positive cases than yesterday, and a total of 345 since the start date of June 30th.

 No new deaths, which is a total of 25 since the start date of June 30th.

o NJ:

 180,970 positive cases, which is 204 more than yesterday.

 13,934 deaths, which is 11 more than yesterday.
