 41 more positive cases than July 24th, and a total of 304 since the start date of June 30th.

 3 more deaths than July 24th, and a total of 24 since the start date of June 30th.

o NJ:

 179,812 positive cases, which is 1,469 more than    July 24th.

 13,884 deaths, which is 39 more than July 24th.

• SUPPORT ASSEMBLYWOMAN TIMBERLAKE’S BILL

 Reach out to Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin’s office in support of bill A4226 (combined with A4034)/S2340; Sponsored by Sen. Singleton, Assemblywoman Timberlake, Assemblyman Wimberly.

 The legislation would provide eviction and foreclosure relief to New Jerseyans experiencing financial stress during the COVID-19 shutdown.

• RECAP OF PRESS CONFERENCE URGING CONGRESS TO PROVIDE MORE RELIEF WITH THE COVID STIMULUS

 On Monday, July 27th, Mayor Baraka stood with Sen. Bob Menendez, County Executive Joe DiVincenzo, and Sen. Teresa Ruiz, urging Congress to provide more relief while we are still in this pandemic (extension on unemployment, extension on the moratorium on evictions, and getting the second stimulus check).

 Along with mandating that everyone in public needs to wear a mask, we have also reminded all of our City employees that it is a requirement to wear masks when working in municipal buildings, while walking in them, or if they’re unable to practice social distancing within their offices and work locations.

 To date, we’ve served more than 924,749 meals and along with the Newark Public Schools we will hit 2 million very soon.
