Governor Murphy announced today that restaurants are allowed to have limited indoor dining starting on Friday, September 4th.
Indoor dining will be limited to 25% of the restaurant’s seating capacity.

• COVID-19 VACCINE TRIALS
Mayor encouraged residents to view the statement about the vaccine trial noting that the City of Newark cannot and did not authorize for any residents to partake in the research. If you do not want to be involved or have any uncertainty, please do not participate. If you are considering enrolling in the clinical trial, gather as much information as you can and inquire about how it can affect you. The trial is 100% voluntary and you have the right to say no.

If you visit the pop-up Census site located on the sidewalk in front of the Newark Public Library to receive one-on-one assistance to complete the Census online, you will receive a $50 Shop Rite Gift Card (one per family while supplies last – ID required).
