• HERE ARE OUR NUMBERS TODAY—

o Newark:

 21 more positive cases than yesterday, and a total of 483 since the start date of June 30th.

 1 new death since yesterday, and a total of 30 since start date of June 30th.

o NJ:

 A total of 185,938 positive cases, which is 463 more than yesterday.

 A total 14,046 deaths, which is 9 more than yesterday.

o Globally:

 More than 20 million positive cases

 748,558 deaths

o USA:

 More than 5.3 million positive cases

 168,334 deaths

• HOTLINE AND POSSIBLE CURFEW

 Mayor shared that a hotline has been set up to report large crowds (no matter location within Newark) and to report large gatherings with people not wearing masks and/or not practicing social distancing.

 Continue to report loud music to 973-733-6000

 If the outcomes from the hotline and Sit Still Sundays do not work, we may have a curfew to help drive our numbers back down.

• CONTINUE TO MASK UP

 Please do not lose sight of the power of wearing a mask.

 Masks have proven to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

 But we have to continue to MASKUP and share that message with our families and friends.
