 A total 14,025 deaths, which is 18 more than Friday, August 7th.

• #MASKUP

 We have to continue to wear our masks when out in public, continuously wash our hands and keep practicing social distancing (which is maintaining a distance of 6 feet apart).

 And we have to do this as our new normal. Not just when someone is watching, or just because it’s an ordinance or requirement. But because it will save lives.

• SIT STILL SUNDAYS

 This past Sunday was our first Sit Still Sunday and we will continue with it next Sunday as well.

 It’s a time when everything in Newark closes at 8PM, with the exception of supermarkets, pharmacies and gas stations.

 This allows us to quiet down activity and hopefully quell the rise of COVID throughout neighborhoods.

 The goal is to see our numbers drop after these two Sit Still Sundays pass.
