← Back to News overview

One of the largest security companies in the world has opened a new district headquarters in Newark, the latest of the many international businesses to come to the City in recent years, bringing new jobs with it.

Mayor Ras J. Baraka welcomed Securitas to its new headquarters at 570 Broad Street during a recent ribbon cutting. Councilmen Anibal Ramos and Luis A. Quintana also attended the ceremony on Feb. 10.

The Mayor congratulated Tim Keller, the president of Secutiras’ Northeast Region, to the City by saying the company was a perfect fit because of “all the clients you already deal with in the City.”

The company provides security to 180 businesses in New Jersey in every imaginable industry including financial, pharmaceutical, commercial and residential real estate, retail stores, hotels and large entertainment venues, including the Prudential Center and Red Bulls Arena.

Other Newark businesses Securitas serves are PSE&G, Verizon, Mack Cali, Berkley College and Seton Hall Law School.
