Honorable Mayor Ras J. Baraka and the Newark Department of Health and Community Wellness have opened a daily overnight winter shelter for Newark residents. The shelter operated by Emergency Housing Services requires identification (ID) and offers a warm, safe environment, breakfast and dinner, and referrals for needed support services.
