Baraka’s Third Annual Latin Festival on Sunday, August 6, from Noon to 10 p.m., on Bloomfield Avenue between Lake Street and Clifton Avenue, in Newark’s North Ward.

The live headline performers will be two titans of the Latin music world: Multi-platinum salsa recording star Jerry Rivera, who holds Grammy Award and Latin Grammy Award nominations and, starring with him, Latin Grammy winning Reggaeton/Latin pop singer-song writer Tito El Bambino.

The festival will celebrate Latino arts and culture with a wide array of family-oriented activities, including live music and entertainment, arts and crafts, and other activities for children of all ages.

“The Latino community is a vital and growing community in our City,” said Mayor Baraka. “I am pleased and honored to host this fine example of what Newark has to offer. This festival showcases the best parts of our City: our music, our sense of community, and our musical and artistic culture. I urge every citizen of Newark to take part in this great tradition.”
