CITY OF NEWARK TO HOST EASTER SUNDAY CELEBRATION ON SUNDAY, APRIL 17, FROM 2 P.M. TO 5 P.M., AT VINCE LOMBARDI CENTER OF HOPE, 201 BLOOMFIELD AVENUE

Newark, NJ –- April 12, 2022 — Mayor Ras J. Baraka, Deputy Mayor of Community Engagement Jacqueline Quiles, North Ward Council Member Anibal Ramos, Jr., and other sponsors will host an Easter Sunday Celebration on Sunday, April 17, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Vince Lombardi Center of Hope, located at 201 Bloomfield Avenue, in the City’s North Ward.

The FREE family event will offer Easter baskets, candy, books, care packages, and resource tables. United Community Corporation will give out free groceries to families in attendance. All attendees MUST wear masks.

“We are proud to bring seasonal joy to our residents,” Mayor Baraka said. “I hope that they join us at this family celebration of renewal and transformation and enjoy the festivities and information we are giving out. I want to thank our sponsors and organizers for putting together what will be a great Easter Sunday celebration.”

Sponsors include the Newark Municipal Council, United Community Corporation, Sinai Post-Acute Nursing and Rehab Center, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Popular Bank, Hispanic Law Enforcement Society of Essex County, Hispanic Firefighters Association, Amerigroup, and RWJ Barnabas Health.
