Mayor Ras J. Baraka, Council Member-at-Large Luis A. Quintana, Deputy Mayor of Community Engagement Jacqueline Quiles, and the Dominican Parade & Cultural Festival of Essex County will hold a flag raising ceremony to honor the Dominican Republic, today, Monday, August 21, at 5 p.m. in the City Hall First Floor Rotunda, 920 Broad Street.

At the ceremony, Dominican leaders from a wide array of fields – community activists, entrepreneurs, first responders, entertainers – will be honored for their achievements.

Attendees will be able to enjoy music and a cultural dance performance as the Dominican community proudly celebrates their cultural heritage. Refreshments will be served.
