Newark Municipal ID Program
The Newark Municipal ID Card Program is a newly photo Identification card for all Newark residents.
NMID is a pathway for all residents to gain access to various services, programs and discount programs offered by the City Agencies as well as by local businesses.

BENEFITS
Your NMID card is a broadly accepted, Official form of identification within the City of Newark:
- By City agencies to access many services and programs
- Serve as proof of identity and residency
- Serve as a form of identification to open a checking account at participating banks
- Provide discounts on Newark restaurants, Newark Library, free memberships at the Newark Museums, entry into public buildings, like schools and more
- Allow residents to access services at hospitals, banks, municipal agencies, etc.
- Serve as a guide to assist individuals facing barriers to needed services in Newark regardless of their immigration status
