← Back to News overview

Due to expected heavy snow and rain beginning tonight into tomorrow, March 7, CITY HALL IS CLOSED, GARBAGE COLLECTION IS SUSPENDED, AND BULK PICK-UP IS CANCELLED. ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING RULES WILL NOT BE ENFORCED. We advise residents to observe the city's "NO PARKING WHEN ROAD IS SNOW COVERED" ordinance, which will be enforced. We Violators will be ticketing and towed. The City's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will open at 5AM.

This parking ordinance is in place to ensure that snow removal/plowing and salting operations can be properly executed. We encourage residents to park on the even side of the street and use/share driveways, where possible, to allow snow removal services to be fully executed.

All residents are reminded that tossing snow into the street is against the law, and violators will be fined.

If you experience a power outage, loss of heat, or hot water during the storm, please report this by using these emergency numbers. To receive emergency alerts text "Newark" to 90210.
